Finally got around to watching Pride and Prejudice. How have I not seen it before? How have I not read it before? It’s brilliant! I was squealing throughout most of the movie. Haha. I guess it’s been awhile since I’ve experienced a good romance – on screen AND in real life.
And Mr Darcy! My goodness! I fell in love with him as soon as he appeared. Reserved, aloof and awkward with the ladies. LOL. So endearing! And he totally defied his family (his aunt) in choosing to be with Elizabeth Bennett. Wish more Malay guys would have some backbone like that. And they wonder why I haven’t dated a Malay guy in a long time. Pfft!
Will definitely get the book as soon as I can. It will go into my collection of books of which I live vicariously through. A girl needs some romance in her life. And if she doesn’t have any, she can always turn to her books to assure her that true love does exist :)

I could so relate to those lines. Of course, not with shopping. With eating maybe. Maybe with shisha too. OMG. I’m a shishaholic. Pfft! As if that’s anything new! :P
I just finished watching Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was pretty entertaining, as far comedies go. I don’t think I know anyone in real life who’s a shopaholic. I know I’m not one. I have ONE pair of wearable jeans which I bought like 2-3 years ago. Sad. If anything, I need to be dragged out to shop. And man, is it that easy to get credit cards in the US? I know it’s not so easy to get one here. I want a credit card of my own! But only for buying things online that I know I can’t get here. Like UNCENSORED ORIGINAL DVDs!
Anyway, the treat of the movie was, of course, Hugh Dancy. I forgot how dreamy he was :) I couldn’t find a stillshot from the movie which he looked good in on the net. These are the best I could come up with.
Yes, I know, these pics are not related to the movie whatsoever, but trust me, he looked absolutely delicious in the movie. I think the best he has ever looked out of all the movies I’ve seen him act in (I have actually only seen him in Ella Enchanted, The Sleeping Dictionary, Blood and Chocolate, and Black Hawk Down) Go see the movie and dream over how dreamy Hugh Dancy is :)
P/S The whole time I was watching the movie, I kept on asking myself how in the world Borat got a girl like Isla Fisher to marry him. Hahaha.

So I just finished watching Majo no Jouken. Thought I'd watch it again since I forgot what happened in the end. Anyway, a lot of people are assuming that she died in the end. But I think they're just overanalyzing the ending. She woke up. He's happy. She's happy. They live happily ever after. Is it too hard to believe that happily ever after exists? Especially in the world known as the Land of Television? :P
Anyway, the story is obviously controversial. A 26 year old teacher fallng in love with a 17 year old student. It's unethical for a teacher to be involved with a student. And did I mention that it's a CRIME to sleep with a minor? Huhuhuhu. Regardless of all this though, I still find the story beautiful. I was rooting for them all the way. OMG. I hope that doesn't undermine me as a future teacher :P
P/S Hirose Michi is a bit of an idiot. She was 4 months pregnant and the doctor told her to abort the baby or face deathly consequences. But she didn't want to abort the baby. I'm thinking WTF?! You don't abort the baby, you'll die, and the baby will die too! Pfft! Idiot, I tell you. If she was 7 or 8 months pregnant, it's understandable. They can just let the baby be born prematurely or something. But she was 4 months pregnant! She didn't even have a bulge in her tummy! Like I said... IDIOT!
I've known this for some time, but whatever. Go Taylor! WoOT! It would have sucked if they changed the cast. Anyways, the reason for this post is to let people (especially Lawyer Chick :P) know that Taylor Lautner has put on some serious Serious SERIOUS muscle for his role in New Moon. I saw it! I finally saw it! It came out today and I went with Lawyer Chick, Muffinman, and Lawyer Chick's colleague to watch the 6:45pm show at TGV KLCC. What did I think of the movie? I absolutely LOVED it! Everyone played their part well. I was actually surprised. Reading reviews online by fans of the Twilight books, I was actually preparing myself for a crappy low budget movie. But I was pleasantly surprised. I loved every single minute of it! It had its sweet, funny, and thrilling moments. And Edward.. the deliciousness that is Edward Cullen was portrayed to PERFECTION by Robert Pattinson. Who knew Cedric Diggory could be that smoldering hot?! Even Lawyer Chick was squealing and gushing and giggling over the drool-worthy Edward Cullen. She said she'd watch the movie all over again just for him. HAHAHAHA!
Here are my favorite parts of the movie:
1) The Cullens in the cafeteria - the scene where the Cullens were first introduced. Background music and everything was just right! Also Jessica saying "That's Jasper. He's the one who looks like he's in pain." HAHAHA!
2) First time Bella walked into Biology class and Edward looked like he just smelled something weird. Hahaha. His look was priceless!
3) Meadow scene - the whole glittering in the sunlight bit was AMAZING! It looked exactly how I imagined it when I read the book.
4) Baseball scene - Wow! Absolutely wow! Click HERE to watch the Baseball scene.
5) Prom scene - Edward Cullen in a suit and tie. Need I say more? Also the background music is "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron&Wine. They couldn't have picked a better choice :)
I only have one thing that I'd like them to improve on for the next movie. MORE ON THE CULLENS! Hehehe. Make it a 3 hour movie! Make it a 4 hour movie! I don't care! :P
Alright, so I was checking Stephanie Meyer's website the other day and I was thrilled to see that she had released a 264 page rough draft of Midnight Sun. Twilight from Edward Cullen's point of view. What more could a fan ask for, right? All those questions of what he did when he went away after that first encounter with Bella.. What his thoughts were when he watched Bella sleep.. I didn't want to wake up this morning. I even had a shouting match with my mom while half-asleep because I didn't want to wake up. But I had to in the end, otherwise I'd have been late going to my final exam. What was the cause of my reluctance to wake up?
Edward Cullen. Yes, that's right. I am so obsessed with the Twilight saga that I've brought it into the realm of my subconscious (not that I'm complaining :P). What was so amazing about my dream? It was as if I was replaying Twilight the book in my head, but in the form of a movie. Of course, since it's based on the book, I was seeing everything through Bella's eyes. In my dream, I WAS Bella.
I want to keep on dreaming! To wake up and realize that Edward Cullen had been watching me sleep all night long... *sigh* What I wouldn't give to enter the book and be Bella Swan.
I am a dreamer... :)
P/S Notice how I keep saying Edward Cullen instead of Robert Pattinson? It's coz I'm in love with Edward Cullen, the vampire, not Robert Pattinson, the actor. Still, Robert Pattinson makes a very yummy Edward Cullen :)
So, Mr. Yummy got me Twilight by Stephenie Meyer as an early birthday gift because he won't be able to make it to my birthday tomorrow. And also because I knew the movie was coming out and I didn't want to watch the movie without knowing how the book is. How was the book? I could not put it down. In fact, I finished the entire novel in one day.. the day before my big final exam. Yes, that big final exam is tonight, and yes, I still haven't studied. Anyway, the book was amazing. Nothing like Harry Potter, but still amazing. And it is my duty to be true to myself and so I will admit shamelessly that I am now in love with vampires. Well, just one vampire. One Edward Cullen. Haha. I know, I know. It's kinda sad being in love with a fictional character. But I can't help it. Lawyer Chick says it's coz vampires have been romanticized. But really, I couldn't care less. Edward Cullen is one hell of a vampire. Can someone get me a vampire for my birthday? Preferably one like Edward Cullen? Hehehe.
